After the match, Lee said, “It’s my third year back from the military, and I’ve had a lot of problems with my swing. This season, I feel like I’ve been finding my swing since training camp,” he said, adding, “I think I can win if I just play my game and not think about the scores of other players.”
Kim Min-soo carded five birdies and two bogeys on the day, shaving three strokes off her score to take the lead for the second straight day after the first round.
With 10 wins in screen golf events alone, the “screen powerhouse” will be looking for his first tour victory.
“I’m very happy to make my first cut this season. If I play the remaining two days like I did today, I think I can finish with a good result,” said Kim. “It’s hard to play in a field tournament because there are many variables unlike screen golf. I’m looking forward to the field competition.”
Behind the co-leaders, Bae Yong-jun (23-CJ) and Yeom Seo-hyun (32-DOHUE EDGAR) are tied for third place, two shots back with a combined score of 5-under par 139.
